Happy Easter

Me and the Girls they are so freaking cute!

A note from Scott.........

Happy Easter everyone! The past two weeks have flown by; it was hard to get up and go to work this morning. We’ve had two pediatric visits (checkup and immunizations), one optometrist visit to make sure their eyes had developed properly and one visit to the clinic for a blood draw. All the tests came back with good results and they are growing at an excellent rate, so everyone is healthy and happy. My mom and dad flew in from Billings on St. Patrick’s Day, Dad stayed for the week and Mom will be here through this Friday. The extra help around the house has been wonderful and neither one of us is too eager to see Mom head out. So if you (or anyone you know) is available and would like to volunteer a couple of hours Monday – Wednesday in the afternoon so Krista can catch a nap while I’m at work, we definitely wouldn’t turn it down. We know it’s a long shot but you never know if you don’t ask… Not to get too mushy but we have been truly blessed with such wonderful children and the love and support of our friends and family.

Here are some pictures I took when we visited yesterday. Being that I bought the dresses I had to see them in person.

Girls 7 Weeks Old

The Whole Family FINALLY!!!!!(Auntie C)

It’s March 1st and the girls are now 7 weeks old! We just keep waiting for the hospital staff to tell us to take them home, but until then we continue to visit every day to wash feed and play. Today was bath time for Madison and Zoie; so they both got to play in the water and they both love to have their hair washed.

All three of them are doing great, they are getting big and strong. Zoie is at 6 pounds now, Madison is near 5 pounds 8 ounces, and Audrey just hit 5 pounds. The minivan is all outfitted for the children, with all three car seats secured, the diaper bag is loaded and the stroller is in the back.

When I arrived at work last Sunday I found that my co-workers had decorated my cubicle in anticipation of the girls coming home, and then they surprised me with a mini-baby shower on Wednesday. I’m not sure if we could ever adequately express just how much we appreciate our co-workers, family and friends. So again, thank you everyone! We are just going to keep our fingers crossed that this will be the week that they come home.

The Girls 6 Weeks Old

Our girls have cruised into their sixth week and are still doing excellent. This is an election year and as such there have been rumors going around. This is not a smear campaign so let me address one such tale right now. Some have said that Madison may be headed home from the hospital today (one such person may or may have not been me); but this is not the case. She has decided that to leave the hospital now is not in her best interest; she is determined to stay until the mission is finished (no doodie will be left behind). Ok, in other words the doctor figured that since she has not made any real significant weight gain in the past few days (she weighed in at 4lbs 15oz yesterday, up one ounce from last week) they will keep her until she decides to pack on a few more ounces. It’s nothing serious, just a plateau, much like when I’m trying to lose weight and stay at 539lbs no matter how much I try to eat only 5 doughnuts for breakfast mmmmmmm doughnuts). Zoie and Audrey are looking really good too. They just need to take 8 full feedings with the bottle over a two day period before they will think about letting them go home to the nut house. But the nursery is all set up, we picked up a rocker/recliner and have it set up for many a feeding and plenty of naps. As well the wipe warmer is hooked up, the humidifier is ready to roll, diapers have been unwrapped and the monitor is setup; all we need now is a baby, or two, or three to complete the room. I was going to take the first 2 weeks of March off, but I may be pushing that out a week just so I’m able to spend my time off with my 4 lovely ladies and any friends and family that decide to drop in! Anyhow don’t hesitate to call if you want to check in or get a check-up, no wait… you can get a chin-up, upchuck… ah, an update! Yes, an update… for those who don’t have it, our home # is 623.242.9654
