It’s been a week since Krista (+3) entered the hospital; and she came home on Wednesday afternoon (-3). She is doing great, the incision is healing and the pain is subsiding. The tough part now is being 13 miles away from our children. But we also know that we are blessed to have such a wonderful staff taking care of our little ones in the Phoenix Children’s Hospital NICU within Banner Good Samaritan. We spent a good 5 hours up there this afternoon, we arrived just in time to help with Zoie’s feeding. Krista held her while 11cc’s of milk was put into her feeding tube, she also expelled some “poo-tar” for Krista just before the feeding. Zoie is still on the CPAP machine since she was having a little trouble breathing yesterday, and they may take her off of it again here in the next day or two. I held Madison during her feeding, she did not leave me a poopie diaper but did melt into my chest while being fed 13cc’s of food. Krista also got to hold Audrey during her feeding which was upped to 5cc’s which is good… any progress is good. Everything is going well at this point. Audrey and Madison are breathing on their own, and Zoie’s vitals are nice and stable since being put back on the CPAP.
Again we feel so fortunate and blessed to be able to share these moments with all of our friends and family.
A big thank you to everyone!
Love;
-Scott, Krista, Audrey, Zoie and Madison!
